Privacy Policy — Quittes

Quittes is an Android app (com.hfc.roomy_receipts) published on Google Play by PIXELMORE (Hugo Ferreira). It splits expenses between friends from photos of receipts. It runs entirely on your phone: no account, no server, no personal data collected.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — the name of your pot, your friends' first names, expenses (title, amount, date, category, who paid, who takes part), settlements and your settings — is stored in your phone's private memory, in the space reserved for the app. This data is never transmitted, never backed up elsewhere, and never visible to the publisher.
There is no server that could receive it.
Reading receipts (camera and photos)
To read a receipt, the app uses the camera or an image from your gallery. Text recognition (amount, store, date) happens on the device, using the Google ML Kit text recognition engine bundled with the app, offline.
- The camera is only active on the scan screen, when you ask for it.
- No photo is ever sent anywhere and no photo is kept by the app: once the amount has been read, the image is no longer used.
- The "Recent" strip on the scan screen shows your latest images so you don't have to open the gallery. It only displays them; it neither copies nor transmits any of them. If you deny photo access, the app falls back to the Android system picker, which needs no permission.
Internet connection
The app needs no connection to work and never opens one on its own. It ships with Firebase (Google) components intended for a future shared-pots feature; in this version that feature is not offered, no account can be created and no data is sent to Firebase. If a later version introduces online sharing, this policy will be updated beforehand, and sharing will remain your explicit choice: the local mode will stay available without an account.
Export
You can copy your expenses as CSV to the clipboard, or copy a reminder message to paste into a messaging or payment app. What you do with it is up to you and the apps you choose: Quittes sends nothing itself.
What the app does not do
- No account, no sign-up, no authentication.
- No advertising, no trackers, no audience measurement or analytics.
- No automatic crash reports.
- No in-app purchases.
- No sharing or selling of data to third parties.
- No cloud backup: if you switch phones or uninstall the app, your expenses do not follow.

Deleting your data
- Delete an expense: open it, then "Delete".
- Remove a friend: Settings › Members › "−".
- Erase everything: Settings › "Reset counters", or uninstall the app, or clear its data from Settings › Apps › Quittes › Storage.
No request needs to be sent to the publisher: they have access to nothing.
Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any data about them.

Any change to this policy will be published on this page, with a new update date.
