Ponts is a puzzle game (the Japanese hashi puzzle) played offline, with no account. This page describes exactly what the app does with your data.
No account is required. We run no server: nothing you do in the game is sent to us. The app does not access your contacts, location, photos, microphone or camera. It contains no analytics (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, nothing of the kind).
Two Google services are involved: advertising (Google AdMob) and billing (Google Play). Both are described below.
The free pack (Discovery) shows a full-screen ad every 4 solved grids, when you leave the "Grid solved" screen. Never during a game, never at launch, no banners. The "All 150 puzzles" purchase removes ads permanently.
These ads are served by Google AdMob. To select and measure them and to fight fraud, AdMob collects your device's advertising ID, your IP address (from which it infers an approximate location), your interactions with ads (viewed, tapped, closed) and diagnostic information (performance, ad module crashes). Google uses this data for its own advertising services. We do not see it in detail: AdMob only shows us totals (impressions, revenue).
You stay in control of the advertising ID: Android Settings → Security & privacy → Privacy → Ads, where you can reset or delete it. Once you purchase, the app no longer contacts AdMob.
If you play from one of these regions, no ad is requested from AdMob until you have answered Google's consent message, shown when the app opens. You can accept, decline ("Do not consent"), or choose purpose by purpose ("Manage options"). Declining does not stop you from playing: ads may then be non-personalised, or not shown.
If you accept, AdMob may use the advertising ID and store information on your device to personalise and measure ads. You can change your mind at any time from the app's privacy options, or by resetting your phone's advertising ID.
The app offers, with no subscription:
These purchases are handled entirely by Google Play (Google Play Billing): we never see, receive or store any payment data — no card number, no identity, no billing address. The price shown is the one Google Play gives you. The app only keeps a "purchased" marker and your hint balance, stored locally. "Restore my purchases" (and a quiet check at startup) recovers the one-time purchase after a reinstall. The hint balance is not backed up outside the device. Google's handling of payments is governed by Google's privacy policy.
No sensitive permission. The app uses Internet access (needed for ads) and the Google Play billing permission (com.android.vending.BILLING), plus the technical permissions of Google's ad module (network state, advertising ID). The game itself runs without a connection.
Your settings and progress are saved locally using Hive, a local database kept in a private file reserved to the app by the system. It holds:
This data is sent nowhere. The daily grid is computed on your phone from the date: no download.
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes the data it stored on your device (progress and hint balance included). On Android you can also use Settings → Apps → Ponts → Storage → Clear data. Your purchases stay tied to your Google Play account. For data processed by Google (advertising, payment), use your Google account tools: myaccount.google.com.
Ponts is aimed at an adult audience and does not specifically target children. The game has no player-to-player communication and asks for no personal data. Ads are served by AdMob, which must not be used to target children: if you are a parent and see an unsuitable ad, please write to us.
We hold no data about you: there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Data processed by Google AdMob and Google Play is processed by Google, which is responsible for it; you can exercise your rights (access, erasure, objection, withdrawal of consent) with Google. Data kept on your device is yours to manage freely.
This policy is updated when the app changes, before the relevant version is released. The last-updated date is shown at the top of this page.
